They operate facilities and market products around the world, and explores for oil and natural gas on six continents. They lead the industry in almost every aspect of the energy and petrochemical business. They are involved in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas; the manufacture of petroleum products; and the transportation and sale of crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum products. They are a major manufacturer and marketer of commodity and specialty petrochemicals and have interests in electric power generation facilities. Their extensive research programs support operations, enable continuous improvement in each of these businesses, and explore emerging energy sources and technologies.
- Client Relationship Overview: DISYS has been engaged with this client since 2001. DISYS is 1 out of 11 preferred vendors. Over the years, DISYS continues to strengthen their relationships throughout the organization. DISYS have been ranked a top performing supplier; has been classified as the most effective optimization/transition supplier (Aug 2008); and has helped the client introduce a “ground-breaking” 3-tiered project staffing model to their business units which provided excellent support to their Global Oil Movement Project. In March 2009, DISYS was awarded the Global ERP upgrade project. DISYS was chosen as a Tier 1 provider and is continuing to work closely with the client’s Supplier Diversity organization to future enhance internal Supplier Diversity initiatives within the organization.
Engagement Details:
- Business Need: The client’s Chemicals Business unit was looking to develop custom functionality and enhancements to their CRM 2007 application.
- Project Objectives: Supplement a core team already in place and utilize an established design and enhancement methodology. Consultants needed to be able to make the changes and provide the support necessary for global use while still working within the established methodology.
- Solution Approach: DISYS provided an expert team of people. Each consultant had previous experience with multiple go-live projects and were experts in Object-Oriented ABAP programming, CRM UI, BSP, and CRM Middleware. DISYS team analyzed the current environment and proposing alternate optimal solutions for the given scope and then carried out the implementation and comfortable shaping solutions and facilitating design of application functions with other experts.
