  • Client Relationship Overview: DISYS started working with the client in 2008 to provide a gap analysis of the adaptation of the Global Infrastructure ITIL framework and assist with a Service Catalog. In March of 2009 DISYS became a Consulting Services Partner to assist the client’s Professional Services Organization with their delivery.

Engagement Details:

  • Business Need: The client was assisting the US Army with the implementation of ITSM 7.1. The implementation involved the ARSystem installation as well as the development of a Single Sign-On Solution to be rolled out to all US Army locations, including EMEA. The client did not have the expertise or security clearance to complete the project.

  • Project Objectives:
      • Review current NETCOM proposed architecture for Common Access Card (CAC) authentication for both web and client access to the Remedy applications
      • Assist with project planning and LOE estimate to deliver testable CAC solution to the Army
      • Design BMC software solution for CAC authentication that is compatible with the proposed enterprise architecture
      • Build (code) solution to accepted design for CAC authentication
      • Build test plan for web and client CAC authentication
      • Build documentation to support BMC CAC solution for the Army
      • Build and deliver support training for CAC authentication
      • Provide consulting support as needed for CAC user acceptance testing
      • Attend daily NETCOM project team call and provide CAC solution development and testing updates to the BMC Project Manager

  • Solution Approach:
      • DISYS worked with the main stakeholder to define the requirements and through the vast DISYS network of senior consultant in the various BMC Solutions, DISYS was able to provide a Secret Cleared Consultant who has repeatedly developed this type of SSO solution for Remedy and Siteminder on both UNIX and Windows platforms.
